Not particularly summery, but I just had a hankering. Midweek treat: crispy-skinned chicken legs with bacon and haggis meatballs. A quick mushroom sauce with wholegrain mustard, Lagavulin whisky, peas and cream with Abernethy butter mash. #Midweek#ChickenDinner
Movie night (12 Monkeys, in which Brad Pitt is a bit excellent) with a sort of Hong Kong Fish Ball Curry. I’ve used Pollock, pounded into a paste with garlic and very finely chopped spring onion: coated in tapioca flour. I’ll post the sauce ingredients on Insta. #Saturday#Movie
This week’s #FridayFeast is Chicken with Gnocchi and a Caper, Parmesan Butter Sauce. The gnocchi is boiled for 3 minutes then gently fried to crisp it up slightly. Sauce: chicken stock, vodka, capers, parmesan, lemon, salt, white pepper, butter and flour. #Chicken#FridayFeeling
